Hypnotherapy

Moving out of survival mode

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is precise work with the nervous system
for those who feel that inner tension has lasted too long
and does not disappear despite effort, conversations, or self-work.

It is a stage of the process that supports moving out of survival mode
and restores access to calm, focus, and the ability to regulate.

When to consider hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is for you if:
• you feel long-term tension in your body and mind;
• you feel like your system “can’t switch off”;
• you live in a state of constant readiness, pressure, or vigilance;
• you experience racing thoughts, anxiety, or inner restlessness;
• you struggle with recovery, sleep, or concentration;
• you feel that the issue goes deeper than the level of thoughts.

This form of support is particularly helpful when the nervous system is stuck in a loop of stress
and self-regulation attempts do not bring lasting relief.

What hypnotherapy offers

After a few sessions, clients most often notice:
• a clear reduction in tension and stress;
• better sleep and easier recovery;
• a calmer flow of thoughts;
• a greater sense of emotional stability;
• an increased ability to cope with everyday challenges;
• a return of focus and creativity.

The most important outcome, however, is regaining a sense of influence —
the feeling that you can respond more calmly and choose differently, instead of reacting automatically.

What Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based method of working with the brain and nervous system.

It uses a natural state of deep relaxation and focused attention
(hypnotic trance) to:
• reduce excessive activation
• interrupt automatic stress responses
• restore access to calmer, more flexible functioning

This is not about analysing the past or “digging into problems.”

It is a process focused on:

• Regulation
• Safety

During the session, you remain fully aware and in control of the process.
The trance state is natural, safe, and often very pleasant — similar to deep relaxation or daydreaming.

What the process looks like

Hypnotherapy sessions last approximately 60 minutes
and can take place:
• in person in Exeter (UK)
• or online

We usually meet once a week,
and less frequently as progress develops.

The number of sessions is determined individually
and depends on the level of overload and the needs of your nervous system.

Most often, the process includes several to a dozen sessions.

Hypnotherapy can be:

a standalone stage of the process

or a deepening of coaching work, when deeper regulation is needed.

My approach

In hypnotherapy work, what matters most to me is:
• a sense of safety
• trust
• a pace tailored to you

I work based on neurobiology and current knowledge of how the brain functions.

I am a member of the National Board for Hypnotherapy and work in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
I regularly engage in supervision.

I believe that the nervous system has a natural ability to regulate —
sometimes it simply needs the right conditions to access it.
